Music=Life

Music is my life. I've been raised to have an eclectic taste, enjoy going to concerts/recitals, and meet you new people. While growing up, I have had my different phases in life. I used to want to be a country star, then the next Brittany Spears, thought about being a rapper once, but now I think I've settled and realized I like all kinds of music. I know that music will always be there for me no matter what mood I'm in or want to get out of.

The main genre I listen to is anything under the rock n' roll category.

But if I want something to pump me up I listen to:
I Believe In A Thing Called Love- The Darkness
7 Minutes In Heaven- Fall Out Boy
Doll Dagga Buzz Buzz Ziggety Zag- Marilyn Manson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BITnk3-D_Fw
These songs have a beat and just make you want to get up and dance and sing.

If I want songs that make me feel inspired I listen to:
Whoa-Paramore
Imagine-Perfect Circle (John Lennon Cover) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdybbBXDlOc
Defying Gravity-Wicked (saw this live!)
These songs make me want to do something better with the world.

If I'm feeling angry I listen to:
4 Words To Choke Upon- Bullet for My Valentine
Blood Pig-Otep http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B56J4v8MWPw (saw this live!)
Playing God- Paramore
Most of these song are dedicated to times/people in my life so when I'm angry and feel like staying that way or even trying to get out of it, these songs help.

When I'm feeling sad I listen to:
Man That You Fear- Marilyn Manson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rthl_O4_G2o
Perfect- Alanis Morissette
Missing-Evanescne (saw this live!)
These songs are the ones that I listen to when I feel like wallowing in self pity.

And these songs that make me feel....um...me are:
(S)aint- Marilyn Manson
Her Ghost In The Fog-Cradle of Filth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49ZJqqrr6jk
Bleeding Mascara- Atreyu (saw this live!)
I guess these songs make me feel like me because they have been dedicated to me.

Actually all these songs mean something to me and are all dedicated to someone or a moment in my life.
I have a lot more songs in my bag of tricks; so, if you feel like listening to something new or want to venture into the world of heavy metal come talk to me!

PS. When I have the (saw this live!) next to the song, it's because I saw them play the song in concert before. I love going to live shows and hopefully meeting the band. I've met a lot of bands so if you want to see pictures, come to my dorm room. Also can you tell I'm in love with Marilyn Manson!!!

Alcohol at 18

When you are little your parents always tell you not to hang out with the wrong crowd because you will start doing what they do or people will get the wrong impression of you. Well, I hang out with the wrong crowd. I have since high school and probably always will. But hanging out with the "wrong crowd" that does drugs and drinks doesn't make you a bad person; it shows me what not to do, plus I help them stay out of trouble. With saying this I know about drinking at a younger age than the legal twenty-one year old age limit and will admit (even to an employer) that I have tried alcohol and I'm not twenty-one, but I am happy to say that I did not like what I tried and just don't have the "want to" to try anything again. When it comes to lower the drinking age to eighteen, I highly disagree. You are an adult at eighteen and can make decisions for yourself, but you are still a teenager in the sense that most of your decisions are based off your emotions. I know a lot of eighteen year old are very mature for their age, but when you look at that age population as a whole then you notice that a lot of them are still stupid and immature. I feel with this being said that if you as an eighteen year old can't make decisions without thinking logically being sober; then you probably don't need to drink on top of that. I have seen my friends do stupid things while drinking and they can drink legally. Therefore I feel that an eighteen year old should not be able to drink until they are eighteen. Plus if the eighteen year old is mature enough then they could wait 3 years and wouldn't complain.
